Welcome to Stoneywish, a 50-acre Nature Reserve on the outskirts of the historic village of Ditchling.

Lying within sight of the Downs, this former dairy farm has now developed into a patchwork of fields, meadows and ponds - a haven for birds and wildlife with an abundance of wildflower habitats. With its gentle walks and spaces for relaxation, Stoneywish is a delight for families and all nature lovers!

Visit our new mini-museum featuring images of work by the Ditchling based inventor and cartoonist Rowland Emett.
Emett won the hearts of whole generations of people with his wartime Punch cartoons, his trains which were a highlight of the Festival of Britain, and his increasingly whacky autonomous machines, which appeared in films such as 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and 'The Admirable Crichton' as well as gracing many civic centres and major exhibitions.

Entrance to the museum is included in the Park ticket price.

Emett enthusiasts can contact Stoneywish to arrange viewing of further items in the collection.

Our very own stone drcle re-opens this year.

The stones, which are genuine local sarsen stones, belong to the same family as the Trilithons at Stone Henge and have been collected together over a
number of years by the farmer at Stoneywish.

Now grouped in a beautiful location within sight of the Downs the stones can be reached via the Play Area in the Nature Reserve.
